Battling Zombies with Creativity at Service Center

Studies show that, without creativity, kids are more likely to turn into zombies. But never fear! Second Story, the Indianapolis-based youth creative writing project based at Service Center, is working hard to fight off the youth zombie apocalypse with some spooky events and activities at SC on Oct. 26 and 27, 2012.

Get personal attention and learn from the pros! Laird, Gary, and Catherynne will be on hand to help you get in touch with your inner demons in intimate writing sessions. Space will be limited to 15 attendees. Cost – just $25. Hardly an arm or a leg.

Saturday, Oct. 27: The Big Family Zombie Tag PartyService Center for Culture and Community 6-9 p.m.

Undead moms and dads and kids of all ages: join us for the biggest zombie tag party of the year! We’re playing zombie tag, telling scary stories, enjoying holiday treats, and having fun. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and cider will be available, and all proceeds benefit Second Story. You don’t have to dress up-just come hang out with the zombies! It’s just $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under.
