After School

Just as we do with our in-school programs, Second Story currently brings trained teaching teams made of writers, educators and college students into existing after-school supplemental creative writing instruction in small-group settings that connect with state educational standards, IPS writing curriculum requirements, and our own approaches to boosting writing attitude and creativity.

We also offer help with writing homework and writing-based projects in after-school settings. And we’re happy to work with and include staff members from the partnering after-school program in the process. Short and long-term programs alike produce tangible outcomes include books, DVDs and web-based products.

Our after-school programs can be one-day workshops or 8-10 week projects or residencies.
